Aki Onda

Saturday ive played with my band "Tsuki" in a venue here in portugal, we are schedule to play at around 11, and then Aki Onda will play after us.
Alltrought i don't talk much about concerts and artists, ive decided to make an exception because it was a marvelous concert by Aki Onda with loads of beautifull pieces.
He normally plays k7 with a lot of effects in between, but ive notice in the concert that he is in total control of the crowd "i mean total control of the music and therefore the crowd", ive have some moments of total trance (really its true).
So im just posting this for you guys to take a look of hes website and hes music.

Golan Levin: Experimental audio-visual artist

"Having worked as an academic at MIT and a researcher specializing in computer technology and software engineering, Golan Levin now spends most of his time working as a performance artist. Rest assured his education hasn't gone to waste, however, as Levin blends high tech and customized software programs to create his own extraordinary audio and visual compositions. The results are inordinately experimental sonic and visual extravaganzas from the furthest left of the field.

Many of his pieces force audience participation, such as Dialtones: A Telesymphony, a concert from 2001 entirely composed of the choreographed ringtones of his audience. Regularly exhibiting pieces in galleries around the world, and also working as an Assistant Professor of Electronic Time-Based Art at Carnegie Mellon University, Levin is unapologetically pushing boundaries to define a brave new world of what is possible.

"At the time, Cage was teaching Experimental Composition at New York City's New School. Eight years beyond 4:33, he was (as our smoking MC informs us) the most controversial figure in the musical world at that time. His first performance on national television was originally scored to include five radios, but a union dispute on the CBS set prevented any of the radios from being plugged in to the wall. Cage gleefully smacks and tosses the radios instead of turning them on and off.

While treating Cage as something of a freak, the show also treats him fairly reverentially, cancelling the regular game show format to allow Cage the chance to perform his entire piece. "
