Quad is not a label.
It is a collection of experimental recordings, some in my livingroom, others live.
In my home I use technics of hardware hacking and circuit bending, living behind all theories and conventions.
Old and damaged solid state tape recorders, instruments build and modified by me are some of my recording tools.
I have iniciated this collection in 2007, but I make recordings since 1998. At the beginning my motivation was just spread out my own material, and little by little other artists used to conventional studios handed up to my free creation.
The format of the disks are variable: mini cd, cd card, mini dvd, cd and dvd. The number of copyes is limited."

Instruments by Panetone

Cristiano Rosa aka Panetone as some really great instruments that you want to check out.
Also hes making a effort to bring Circuit bending in Brazil to the knowledge of people , and so far he as secede.
He had done a lot of workshops in Rio de Janeiro and the feedback from the presents its just great.
So be sure to check is website regularly.
So back to the instruments.
1-we have this modular circuit bending machine (i hope im right)
2-joystick greenbox (its a beauty ins it ?)
3-the panetone touch one v2 (i think this is kinda cracklebox, but im not sure)

PanEtone board

My friend PanEtone as send me a schematic witch he will use on his workshop.
Its a simple one but a lot of soul in there.
Here is the topic on the workshop.
-Building your first oscillator
-basic electronic components
-have fun with the vactrol synth (also building one)
-basic soldering
-altering the pitch and the clock on a toy
-amplifying and distorting
-playing with body contacts and instruments.
In the final they will play a concert with the instruments build during the workshop.

Sounds like a lot of fun

About the board "you are viewing the component side"- just copy the image and glue to a piece of card them trim and make holes for the components, insert the components and solder together.
For the chips (ic) you can use 40106, 4016 or 4093.

PanEtone workshop

My friend from brazil PanEtone is making a new workshop this time in Rio de Janeiro.
He had also be interviewed by Getlofi you can read it here

We are also thinking in a new form to help new people into circuit bending, also he features in the MTV brazil publication.
